Kenney Jam 2022 Submission

Set sail in the canals of KenneyTown as Captain TrashDog, a riverboat captain who is positively fed up with how the citizens have been treating the waters that he lives upon.

Grow your trash pile and wallet by collecting trash in the river and depositing it in the TeleTube. The bigger the trash pile, the healthier the environment.

Great game!  It's pretty addicting, and I can see it's exciting potential.  It felt frustrating at times when pushing stuff, I felt things would slip away too easily a lot of the time.   But I loved it!

I personally really like the controls. That's how a heavy boat should feel. I was using the boost button 90% of the time. I reached $5000 on my first playthrough. A leaderboard would be nice and maybe some other "limitation" like a timer, water currents that happen randomly or something else. Nice job so far!

This game is great ! i spend 30 min to play this game but i hate the controls...otherwise a nice submission !

Thank you for the feedback and compliment! The controls are definitely divisive haha. What controls do you think would work better?

Honestly, this game is super fun to play and the concept of this game is really great! The only thing that was annoying is the player controls, apart from that it was cool. The concept has been well implemented, it would be great to see this game scaling up with more exciting features ahead of time.

Looking forward to this game and other games you make ahead of time. Added you to our future checking list.

Thank you! Do you have and suggestions on how to improve them? I've heard from some people it's too 'ice skatey' but would love to hear your thoughts.

Yeah, that's true. The player is slipping through the water so randomly that it feels like ice than water. I think if you are aiming for good player controls, you need some sort of bouncing acted by buoyancy, then a bit of resistance and a slow pace increase for the linear motion, also, if possible a slight tilt while moving in certain directions. This setup would feel great.
